    Healthcare Providers’ Perceptions and Experiences of Training to Respond to Violence against Women: Results from a Qualitative Study

    The study explores how healthcare providers can support women affected by violence by offering them safe ways to share the experiences of violence and mitigating violence against women. The study documents the experiences and highlights the outcomes of training of Healthcare providers using the WHO curriculum adapted for Indian context mainly regarding the training approach, content and its acceptability and feasibility. Morevover, it also highlights a shift in perspective from viewing violence against women as a private issue to understanding it as a health issue, identifying barriers faced by women in disclosing violence and their role in supporting disclosure.

    Mistreatment of Women in the Labour Rooms of India: A Call to Action

    The bulletin highlights many hidden aspects of motherhood that have been very little studied and analyzed. It deliberates upon dehumanization of birth by highlighting the issues of physical and verbal abuse to women in labour, 'violence' in labour rooms, disrespect and abuse during child birth and there after.
